Entrepreneur And Life Coach Martin Salama Shares How To Transform Challenges Into Triumphs

Life can be tough and full of bumps. But Martin Salama, an expert in turning people from worriers to warriors, knows how to make life better. For over a decade, Martin has shown entrepreneurs the way from stress and scarcity to abundance and being a life warrior. He teaches them how to live fully every day.

The host of The Deep Wealth Podcast and post-exit entrepreneur Jeffrey Feldberg speaks with Martin talks about how anyone can shift their life for the better with the right mindset and actions.

Martin Salama, also known as Mr. Success, is a thought leader, author, and coach. Martin didn’t start as a coach. For almost 50 years, he was a businessman. He says, “I was what they now call an entrepreneur, but back in the day, we used to call us businessmen.”

“For the first close to 50 years of my life, I was a businessman,” Martin says. He emphasizes, “I was what they now call an entrepreneur, but back in the day, we used to call us businessmen.” This narrative sets the stage for Martin’s transformation. From helping out at his father’s factory to working on various businesses, he was tirelessly in pursuit of success.

But 2008 was a crucial year. Remember the economic crash? That year, Martin had secured all the approvals to build a multimillion-dollar tennis club in New Jersey. Yet, the financial world fell apart. “I lost absolutely everything,” Martin recounts, revealing his struggle with situational depression. Understanding this phase of his journey motivates us to look deeper into the man who rose from the ashes.

Martin’s journey to becoming a coach began with a major setback in 2008. He and his wife had spent five years planning a top-notch tennis club and health center. They had invested millions of dollars and their dreams into this project. But when the financial crisis hit, banks stopped lending money. Martin lost everything he had invested. “And I’m stuck with nothing. I’ve lost absolutely everything,” he recalls.

The financial loss led Martin into a year-long depression. He couldn’t pay his bills and even lost his car and home. It was a tough time, but Martin did not give up. After hitting rock bottom, he realized he had a chance to start over.

“I have a chance to start my whole life over again, to rewrite myself. What do I really want to do? I never loved being a businessman,” he says. Martin found joy in leading community organizations and helping others find their potential. This realization drove him to become a life coach.

Martin’s journey to coaching wasn’t smooth. Just before starting his coaching training, his wife asked for a divorce. Despite this, Martin pushed forward with his decision to become a coach. The training was an eye-opener for him. He learned to understand his own emotions before helping others.

“I always wanted the recognition, and I was always a control freak to make sure that everything would go right,” he admits. By changing his mindset and controlling his emotions, Martin became a new person and a successful coach.

The Warrior’s Life Code

Martin’s coaching method, known as the Warrior’s Life Code, helps people control their emotions and actions. He explains it with an acronym, L.I.F.E.:

  • L – Listen to your inner voice and acknowledge your emotions.** Write down how you feel.

  • I – Identify your feelings.** Describe the level of your emotions.

  • F – Find out why.** Question yourself to understand the cause of your feelings.

  • E – Engage and change.** Take action based on your understanding.

Martin emphasizes, “By writing this down and putting words to it, it helps you to calm that emotion and figure out what to do next.”

Martin’s book “Warrior to Warrior” includes many of his life lessons. He gives a practical method called the Cycle of ACE to help people act without being tied to an outcome:

  • A – Ask the universe for what you want.**

  • A – Act to get what you want.**

  • A – Attitude.** Do not be emotionally attached to the outcome.

“Energy attracts like energy. Surround yourself with positive people and opportunities will follow,” Martin advises.

Helping Others

Now, Martin helps other coaches and professionals make an impact and earn money. His Guaranteed Seven-Figure Warrior Program ensures coaches get results. He says, “Within two years, I can guarantee you seven figures. I coach you on results.”

Martin’s method involves finding the right audience and clients, understanding their needs, and building effective systems. He also stresses the importance of having the right mindset and being scalable.

For anyone ready to make a change, Martin suggests starting with gratitude. “Write down three things you’re grateful for every morning,” he advises. Gratitude helps set a positive tone for the day.

He also adds, “Make someone laugh today and thank them for filling your quota. It connects you with others and spreads positivity.”

Beyond the business strategies, Martin emphasizes the power of gratitude. “Wake up every morning, write down three things you’re grateful for,” he suggests. This practice sets a positive tone for the day and opens the door for abundance.

One touching story Martin shares is picking up his sick grandson. The joy he received from his grandson’s excitement washed away any worries he had that day. This simple act of kindness validated the deeper fulfillment he gets from life.

Lastly, Martin leaves us with a valuable life skill: turning gratitude into a daily habit. He advises us to connect positively with others and share laughter, nurturing an environment of optimism and opportunity.

Reflecting on his past, Martin wishes he could tell his 10-year-old self to look for the positive amidst tragedy. After losing his brother in a school bus accident, Martin struggled for years. “Look for the positive, move forward and build your life based on the fact that you know your brother’s there watching over you,” he would tell his younger self.
